Employee #1 fell down pole injury back, fracuture left arm.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., on February 7, 2001, Employee #1, Cable Installer, for Adelphia, sustained a fracture to his left arm when he fell/slid down approximately 20 ft off a wooden utility pole. Employee #1 was being evaluated by the Corporate Technical Trainer who was evaluating his pole climbing skills. Employee #1 climbed to a height of about 20 ft. He belted off and began maneuvering to his left. His right leg popped out of the pole. Employee #1 lost his balance and fell, sliding down the pole, landing on his back and left arm. Because of the height of the fall, the injured Employee #1 was air transported to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center. He was admitted and hospitalized for five (5) days.
