Maintenance Worker Hospitalized After Falling Off a Ladder

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on September 11, 2000, a 50-year-old maintenace worker sustained a fractured pelvis as a result of falling approximately 8 feet from a stepladder. He was descending a ladder from the plenum of a building's air handling system. The injured employee was transported by paramedics to a medical center where he was treated and hospitalized for nine days.
