Employee's Finger Amputated by Table Saw

At approximately 2:45 p.m. on November 7, 2000, Employee #1 was operating a power table saw that was equipped with a rip-type saw blade to cut a wood breadboard. He was momentarily distracted by a coworker and his finger struck the moving saw blade. Employee #1 sustained an amputation to his left first finger. He was transported to Northridge Hospital where he was hospitalized for his injury.
