Employee Injured When Arm Caught In Machine

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on January 18, 2000, Employee #1's right hand entered a discharge opening of the machine used to dry capsules. Employee #1's wrist or the sleeve of his garment contacted a rotating scooper inside the machine. The scooper, the catch point, was guarded by the frame of the machine. Employee #1 sustained injuries to his right arm including, right dislocated radial head, and a fractured ulna. Employee #1 was hospitalized for his injuries.
