Investigation Summary
At approximately 11:30 a.m. on April 9, 1993, Employee #1, a gardener, walked in front of an electric utility vehicle he was operating to load a lawn mower. The vehicle, under its own power, rolled forward and struck him. He was pinned under the vehicle for about a half-hour. Employee #1 was hospitalized with severe leg and knee abrasions caused by the vehicle's spinning tires rolling over him.
