Employee Is Injured When Run over by Farm Tractor

At 8:00 a.m. on May 8th, 2012, Employee #1, a farm laborer, was riding on the step of an agricultural tractor. The tractor operator was giving Employee #1 a ride along a dirt road in an orchard, returning to a shop building about one mile away. The tractor hit a bump and Employee #1 fell off and was run over by the left rear tractor tire. Employee #1 received serious injuries to his upper body. Employee #1 spent approximately seven weeks at Enloe Hospital in Chico, California for treatment.
