EMPLOYEE'S HEAD CUT WHEN STRUCK BY DRY BAR HANDLE

An employee was removing concrete. He placed a 6-ft-long dry bar across a 2-ft-wide trench to break the concrete. The nose or toe of the bar broke and the handle of the bar rose 10 in., striking the employee in the head above the right eyebrow. He suffered lacerations, and was treated and released from the hospital.
