Employee injured in fall from roof

Employee #1 was working on his knees near the edge of a roof on a two-story private residence removing tile in order to replace the fascia at the edge. His body shifted and he lost his balance, slipping on the building paper under the tile. He fell approximately 17 ft to the ground, striking his jaw on a wooden fence. Employee #1 suffered a compound fracture of the left mandible.
