Employee's finger amputated in saw motor

Employee #1, a woodworker/assembler, was operating a vertical panel saw when it became jammed. He shut off the saw and went around to the rear to see if the motor needed oil. While checking the motor that supplies the air, the motor of the panel saw actuated and caught the little finger on his right hand. It was amputated to just below the first knuckle.
