Employee #1, an iron worker for Warner Steel, Inc., was scaling a vertical I-beam column to adjust the guy cable and place a safety cable. He slipped and fell 28 ft to a concrete foundation. Employee #1 suffered compound fractures of the left lower leg and right ankle.
