Employee's finger cut on table saw

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on October 12, 1992, Employee #1 cut a piece of plywood on a Rockwell tilting arbor saw. The guard was in place and met the requirements of Cal-OSHA. While he was cutting the wood, the plywood kicked back and knocked the employee off balance. His finger came under the guard, pushed it up, and exposed the blade. The employee's left ring finger was cut but not amputated.
