Employee injured by falling truck

On April 10, 1995, Employee #1 and a senior coworker, employees of Amaya Tire Service Co., were lifting a truck with a jack at a client's site in Los Angeles, CA. The jack broke and the truck fell on Employee #1, breaking his ribs and both legs. Paramedics took him to Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center. A causal factor was the equipment being used under excessive stress, endangering the employee. A serious violation of T8CCR 3328(a) was observed and cited.
