Investigation Summary
On February 9, 1999, Employees #1 and #2 were on the roof of the Normandie Avenue Elementary School in Los Angeles, to check for and repair roof leaks. The two men climbed up a ladder to access the roof. No one witnessed the accident, but a school Custodian heard a loud thump, and saw something drop. He found an injured employee and covered him with a blanket. The employee was transported to County USC, and died as a result of his injuries.
