Employee's head injured when struck by falling boxes

At approximately 1:45 p.m. on February 21, 1995, Employee #1, of Jenlin, Inc., was processing leather handbags for pricing and shipment. A pallet containing boxes of fragrances was being lifted by a Drexel forklift, model SLT-30, serial #22576-7-305, near Employee #1's work station. The boxes became unstable and fell off the pallet, striking Employee #1, who sustained blunt head trauma. Employee #1 was taken to Martin Luther King Hospital, Los Angeles, CA, for treatment and hospitalization. The stored materials were not stable or secured.
