Employee Injured In Fall From Unsecured Ladder

At 8:31 a.m. on July 11, 2001, Employee #1 was replacing light panels in an exterior wall of a steel distribution facility in Vernon, CA. He placed an extension ladder against the wall with the foot resting on top of a stack of steel sheets. When Employee #1 climbed the unsecured ladder, it slid and caused him to fall. Employee #1 was hospitalized with wrist and femur fractures.
