Employee Fractures Hip after Falling on Floor

At approximately 9:55 a.m. on November 20, 2001, Employee #1, a grocery clerk of Stater Brothers Market, fractured her right hip after she fell while walking on the floor of storage area inside the back room. She was not moving or carrying any materials with her while walking, and the floor was not oily or slippery. She was not wearing high heels. The floor had no tripping hazards present. Employee #1 was hospitalized for treatment on her hip.
