Investigation Summary

On Monday, December 21, 1992, Employee #1, of Lakeshore Builders, was standing on the side of his pickup truck tying off a load of lumber stacked on the overhead rack. The weather conditions were extreme cold with snow and ice. While pulling the ropes tight, he slipped and landed on his left wrist, which was extended behind him. The fall shattered most of the bones in his left wrist. Employee #1 was given first aid by the Tahoe City Fire Department paramedics across the street, then transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital, Truckee, CA.
