Employee killed when run over by loader at logging site

Employee #1 was working at a helicopter logging operation. A helicopter was bringing in a turn, and a loader was sitting between the log deck and the chaser safe area. The loader's tracks were pointed toward the drop zone and its boom was pointed toward the log deck. The loader operator said he checked and his men were in the safe area. The turn hit the ground and the loader operator saw the chasers run toward the turn. He then swung the boom away from the drop zone to clear the long line of the helicopter. Once the line had cleared, the loader operator started moving toward the drop zone. As he swung the boom in that direction, he checked his men out the right window. The loader operator heard the yells of a chaser who was on light duty and in the safe zone coiling chokers, so he stopped and started swinging back, looking to see what the yelling was about. The operator saw the chaser pointing to go the other way so he started traveling away from the drop zone. As he looked back, he saw Employee #1's feet sticking out from under the track of the loader. Employee #1 had been run over and killed.
