Employee's hand cut on meat slicer blade

At about 11:08 p.m. on February 10, 1994, Employee #1 was using a meat slicing machine to cut onions for use in the preparation of hamburgers. She was holding an onion in her bare hand, and as she pressed the onion against the spinning blade of the slicer, her hand was severely cut, requiring 20 stitches to close the wound. She was in the hospital for only 4 hours, and was released after treatment.
