Investigation Summary
At about 5:00 p.m. on January 18, 1995, Employee #1, of All Access Excavating, was working alone in the basement of a hillside home, excavating soil for an expansion. He was using a Bobcat loader in its digging mode. Apparently Employee #1 lowered the digging arm under power so that, as the shovel hit solid soil, the bobcat was lifted up, trapping him between the loader and an overhead structural beam supporting the house. He was found dead by the homeowner.
