Employee amputates finger in chain drive of conveyor belt

Employee #1 was cleaning machines and floors when he slipped on the floor. As he reached out to grab for something to catch his balance, his finger caught in the running chain drive of a conveyor belt. Employee #1's left index finger was amputated at the second knuckle, for which he was hospitalized.
