Employee injured when caught and pulled into corrugator

At approximately 11:50 p.m. on April 4, 1995, Employee #1 was attempting to remove some paper from a Langston 85 in. corrugator belt that was sticking. The end of the belt and paper came around and grabbed the long handle stick with attached wire brush that he was using, pulling his hand and arm into the belt and rollers. His left thumb was caught by the machine. Employee #1 sustained injuries to his left shoulder, jaw, and teeth and required surgical amputation of part of his left thumb. A serious accident-related violation of T8CCR 3314(a) was cited.
