Employee injured in fall from eave of roof

At 1:26 p.m. on October 15, 2007, Employee #1 and a coworker were nailing down roofing paper on a building in Santa Clara, CA. Employee #1 slipped on the paper and fell 20 ft 4 in. from the eave of the roof onto a wooden fence. He fractured both his wrists and suffered internal injuries. Employee #1 was transported to Valley Medical Center, where he was admitted and scheduled for surgery the next day. At the time of the accident, Employee #1 was wearing a belt with a rope attached to it.
