Employee's finger amputated in rotating machinery

Employee #1 was boring holes 1in. round by 0.5 in. deep into black phenolic material. He was wearing gloves and when he lowered the boring head with a drill bit, his glove became entangled in the rotating part. His finger was amputated and he was hospitalized.
