Employee fractures wrist when plank falls

Employee #1 was retrieving roofing material from a roof using a plank as a ramp. He was carrying a bundle of roofing material from the roof to a truck when the plank kicked out, causing him to fall 11 feet to compact dirt. He was hospitalized with a fractured right wrist. The employer will be cited for failing to secure the plank to the roof, T8CCR 1624(c).
