Employee's Finger Is Amputated When Equipment Slips

At approximately 3:20 p.m. on May 4, 2005, Employee #1 was cleaning a capsule filling machine. He had disassembled and carried a part of the unit to the sink area. He was injured when the 65 lb part slipped as he was setting it down. His right index finger was pinned. He was hospitalized for the amputation of his finger.
