Employee injures leg after fall while unloading

At 2:30 p.m. on May 15, 2003, Employee #1 was unloading stacked pallet loads of tomatoes in bins from a truck. He and two coworkers were using a pallet jack to right a stack that was leaning on another. When the pallet moved suddenly, Employee #1 slipped on a dip in the metal floor and fell with his foot caught under the pallet jack. He was hospitalized at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for fractures of his leg and ankle, and subsequent surgery.
