Employees injured when overloaded aerial basket tips over

At approximately 11:50 a.m. on July 15, 1994, Employees #1 and #2, of the Penhall Company, were working at Bent 18 of the I-280 retrofit project in San Francisco when the aerial device they were working in tipped over. The combined weight of the employees and their equipment exceeded the basket's maximum weight capacity of 500 lb. Both employees were hospitalized.
