Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was working for a drywall contractor at new construction site. He was on a 38 in. wide, manually-propelled, mobile scaffold platform applying spackling to butt joints on a 14 ft wall. He stepped off the unguarded end of the scaffold and fell 5 ft 9 in., landing on his head and back on the concrete floor. Employee #1 suffered a concussion, cuts to the scalp, and a severe laceration to his calf.
