Electrician killed by fall from soffit

At 7:30 a.m. on January 16, 1995, Employee #1, an electrician for Lafferty Electric, Inc., was working inside a building under construction. He was working on a drywall soffit when, because of his weight, he fell 21 ft through the soffit and onto the concrete floor. He struck the floor with his left shoulder and head and suffered a concussion. Paramedics were summoned, and Employee #1 was transported to a hospital, where he died of his injuries the next day at 2:30 p.m.
