Investigation Summary
At approximately 9:00 p.m. on June 10, 2016, an employee was working as the ground crew landing a hot air balloon. After the passengers exited the basket, the balloon lifted off. The employee hung on to the basket as the balloon gained altitude. The employee lost his grip and fell approximately 100 feet. The employee was killed as a result of multiple traumas from the fall.
