Investigation Summary

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on February 27, 1996, Employee #1 was operating a logger stacker at Buse Timber when he suffered a heart attack. CPR was performed by coworkers until the fire department arrived. Employee #1 was transported to Everett General Hospital, where he died on March 8, 1996. The physician's diagnosis was a severe cardiac incident with resulting coma. Employee #1 had a history of a heart condition. No contributing environmental factors were noted during inspection of the work site.
