Employee's head injured in power press during maintenance

Employee #1 was performing maintenance on a Liftgate 270 press. He removed the electric gate and inserted a dummy plug so he could watch the machine cycle. As he was doing so, he broke the plane of a capacitative switch and caused the press to cycle. Employee #1's head was crushed and he was hospitalized.
