Investigation Summary
On Friday, October 16, 1992, Employee #1, of Ferguson Electric Co., was assigned to install wall-mounted outdoor light fixtures in various areas. After lunch he went to the boiler room and set up an 8 foot stepladder by an existing door frame on which a Honeywell employee had leaned two 4 ft by 8 ft by 5/8 in. plywood sheets for weather protection. At 12:50 p.m., a gust of wind rushed through the boiler room and pushed the plywood against the ladder, knocking Employee #1 to the concrete sidewalk. He died on November 8, 1992.
