Employee injures head in fall from roof

At approximately 7:00 p.m. on October 22, 1991, Employee #1 was involved in a roof felting operation. Employee #1 stated that he was unrolling a section of felt while stepping backward on the east side of the roof and stapling the material to the roof. While stepping backward, Employee #1 accidentally stepped off the edge of the roof onto an awning. The awning broke and he fell onto the backyard concrete pool deck, sustaining a head injury. Employee #1 was transported to Long Beach Memorial Hospital for treatment and admitted for observation.
