Employee injured in fall when scaffold planking falls

Employee #1, a framer, was walking across an 11 ft high section of scaffold planking when it fell to the ground under his weight. Subsequent investigation and witness interviews determined that another contractor had modified the planking and had improperly left some planking unsupported. The employer admitted that other contractors had been moving the planking. The employer was cited for a general violation of T8CCR 1644 (a)(7).
