Investigation Summary
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on March 2, 1992, Employee #1, of Mountain High Ski Area in Wrightwood, was on her way home when she struck a tree about 100 ft from the top of a tree island while skiing downhill from the top shack. Employee #1 suffered a chest injury and was transported to San Bernardino County Medical Hospital for treatment. According to the personnel director, the ski lights were on when the accident occurred. Since Employee #1 could not be contacted for an interview, the report is based on information supplied by the employer. No accident-related violations were observed.
