Employee's fingers injured by sealing bars

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on October 6, 1992, Employee #1, of Oh Boy Corp., was cleaning a wrapping machine with the power on. He was wearing gloves and using a water hose and paper towels. He was wiping in the area near the sealing bars, when his glove was caught in the bars, pulling his hand in. Employee #1's injury required surgery, the amputation of half of his right index finger, and the reattachment of portions of the little finger and two middle fingers. Employee #1 was hospitalized for 3 days.
