Employee injures head in fall from elevation

Employee #1, a sample maker for Chris Stone and Associates, was performing inventory of fabric while standing on a pallet elevated by a Clark forklift. He was standing on several rolls of fabric when the rolls came loose. He lost his balance and fell approximately 6 ft, landing on his back. He was taken to White Memorial Hospital for head contusions and broken ribs. As of this report, he is still in the hospital undergoing rehabilitation. The employee had undergone safety training before and the company has a good safety program. A serious citation was issued to the employer for proper safety precaution for employees for each job performance. Employee #1 was interviewed in the hospital and does not have a recollection of the incident.
