Investigation Summary
At approximately 11:45 a.m. on February 24, 1992, Employee #1, manager of The Broadway Department Store, and a helper were lifting a wooden fixture in the men's clothing area on the first floor. His right middle finger became caught between the cable and the fixture and Employee #1 suffered a severe laceration. Employee #1 was taken to Glendale Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. He is now being treated as an outpatient. The employer, was advised to eliminate unsafe acts like that performed by Employee #1.
