Employee crushed between loader bucket and mats

Employee #1 was between a large I-beam (36I383) and a stack of deck mats (4 to 12 ft long, 12 by 12 timber bolted together) cutting a steel plate. A crawler loader started to back-drag the stack of deck mats with the bottom of the loader bucket and caught the employee between the stack of mats and the bottom of the bucket. He was crushed and hospitalized, but survived.
