Employee's leg fractured by falling paper products

At approximately 8:15 a.m. on September 20, 1990, Employee #1 was standing adjacent to an unstable stack of Globe Weis paper products preparing a drop list. He apparently leaned against the stack, causing the load to fall forward and strike him on the lower right leg. Employee #1 sustained compound fractures to the leg. Paramedics of Fire Station #23 transported him to Long Beach Memorial Hospital where he was admitted for treatment.
