Employee's fingers amputated by shaper

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 29, 1992, Employee #1, of Precision Redwood Manufacturing, Co., in Cloverdale, CA, was operating an Emstrom Carlson profile shaper. When she pulled a stave from the shaper's left side clamps, her left hand became caught in the machine's cutting head. Four of Employee #1's fingers were amputated.
