BURN - ELECTRICAL FAULT IN ELECTRICAL BOX

Two employees were removing a conduit above a 480-volt electrical box. The employees were cutting the metal conduit with a saw. The metal filings from their cutting fell onto energized terminals inside the box, causing an electrical fault. The ensuing electric arc severely burned one of the employees on both hands. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
