Employee's leg broken when struck by falling forklift load

At 11:30 a.m., an experienced forklift operator was trying to load an approximately 343 lb Genie Super Lift, model SL-24, into a customer's truck when it fell from the elevated forks onto Employee #1's left leg. He suffered a broken leg and was taken to the hospital, where he remained for 7 days. This Genie Super Lift should have been loaded by hand.
