Employee fractures vertebra when he falls from a roof

On January 20, 2003, Employee #1, a carpenter, was working on the roof of an apartment cutting a beam on a terrace structure so the terrace could be removed. He slipped and fell off of the roof approximately 10 ft. He received a fractured vertebra but refused to be hospitalized.
