Employee's leg fractured in fall from fixed ladder

At approximately 4:30 p.m. on June 19, 1992, Employee #1 was preparing to descend a fixed ladder to a sand pit when his foot missed the first rung below ground level. Employee #1 lost his grip on the uprights of the ladder and fell 14 ft to the concrete floor. Employee #1 was taken to Delano Regional Medical Center for treatment of a fractured left leg. On June 22, 1992, Employee #1 was discharged from the hospital.
