Employee's fingertip cut off in chop saw

At 1:30 p.m. on March 3, 1993, Employee #1 cut off his left index fingertip on a chop saw. He was attempting to knock the last endcut off the table when the blade caught his glove, pulling his finger into the rotating saw blade. Employee #1 thought the blade was caught up in the guard. He was taken to Oroville Hospital where he was treated for the amputation and released.
