Three of employee's fingers amputated in grape harvester

On September 16, 1993, Employee #1 of John Kautz Farms was exposed to the right rear rotating cleaning fan on a grape harvester while attempting to remove leaves from the fan opening. This occurred while the grape harvester was being cleaned off by another employee using a water hose and all conveyors and the fans were running. The employee suffered amputation of three fingers of his right hand.
