Investigation Summary
At approximately 2:45 p.m. on November 26, 1990, Employee #1 was working on a bus that had developed an air leak. After diagnosing the problem, he obtained a rebuilt air dryer to replace the leaking unit. After he installed the replacement dryer, he noticed that the air leak was still there. He was checking the system when the air dryer blew up. He sustained a broken right wrist and fingers, and was treated at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA.
